A Kiosk Pro alternative: an iPad kiosk that answers back
Kiosk browsers show customers your content. Kioskly AI answers their questions. Here's when each one makes sense.
Quick answer
Kiosk Pro and similar kiosk browsers, like Kiosker, show a website, menu or form full-screen on an iPad. Kioskly AI does something different: customers ask a question out loud and it answers from your information, in 25 languages. Choose a kiosk browser to display content or collect sign-ups, and Kioskly AI to answer questions.
What kiosk browsers do
Kiosk Pro, one of the longest-running iPad kiosk apps, and Kiosker are specialized web browsers. They show your website, a menu, a gallery or a form full-screen, hide the browser controls, stop visitors from wandering off to other sites, and reset after a visitor walks away. Kiosk Pro's listing notes that, to stop visitors leaving the app, you turn on Guided Access or use Single App Mode.
They're the right tool when customers should read or fill in something: a digital menu, a product catalog, a check-in form or a newsletter sign-up.
What Kioskly AI does instead
Kioskly AI is for when customers have a question. Instead of tapping through pages to find the answer, they ask out loud: "Where are the fitting rooms?" "When is breakfast?" "Do you take card?" It answers in a sentence or two, spoken and shown on screen, using only the information you added, in 25 languages.

When a kiosk browser is the better choice
- You want to display a website, menu, catalog or slideshow.
- Customers need to fill in a form, sign in or join a mailing list.
- The kiosk has to work offline with stored content, which Kiosk Pro Basic supports.
When Kioskly AI is the better choice
- Customers come to you with questions, not to read pages.
- Many of them speak other languages.
- You'd rather teach the kiosk your business with notes and documents than build a kiosk website.
Which should you choose?
- Choose Kioskly AI if you want customers' questions answered out loud, in their language, without them hunting through pages.
- Choose Kiosk Pro if you need to show a website or collect forms, though customers still have to find answers themselves.
- Choose Kioskly AI if you don't have a kiosk website and don't want to build one: your notes and documents are enough.
- Choose Kiosker if you want a full-screen web kiosk with a screensaver, though it can't answer a question either.
Frequently asked questions
Do I still need Guided Access with Kioskly AI?
Yes, we recommend it. Guided Access keeps customers inside the app; Kioskly AI keeps the screen on while Employee Mode runs. Our iPad kiosk guide shows the steps.
Can Kioskly AI show my website on the screen?
No. It reads your website to learn your information, but the screen shows the Kioskly character and the conversation, not web pages. If you need to display pages, a kiosk browser is the right tool.
Can I run a kiosk browser and Kioskly AI on one iPad?
Not at the same time: a kiosk iPad runs one app. Many businesses use two devices, one for a menu or sign-in form and one for questions.
Kioskly AI is made by us, Arai Tech. Features, prices and ratings of the other apps come from their US App Store listings and can change.
